About Us

Hi, I’m Diana Green—founder of Dobro Seafood and lifelong lover of wild, Alaskan sockeye salmon.

My story with salmon starts long before Dobro Seafood ever came to be. I grew up in a family deeply connected to Alaska’s wild waters. My dad was a hardworking Alaskan fisherman who taught me, from an early age, the difference in quality of wild seafood. At our house, every Friday was “Fish Friday.” That meant a big family meal focused on fresh, wild seafood—often including sockeye salmon. When friends or family came to visit, it wasn’t unusual for us to lay out a full spread of wild Alaskan seafood. It was how we showed love.

From those early days, I learned how different wild-caught sockeye salmon is from farmed fish. The flavor is cleaner. The texture is firmer. And just as importantly, it’s sustainably harvested—caught with practices that protect fish populations and the environment. That stuck with me. And the older I got, the more passionate I became about helping other people taste the difference for themselves.

Years later, I married a commercial Alaskan fisherman (what can I say—it runs in the family!), and my connection to the fishing community grew deeper. I saw the pride and care that goes into every wild-caught fish. And I knew I wanted to share that level of quality with others.

That’s why I started Dobro Seafood. To bring truly wild, responsibly caught sockeye salmon straight to your table. Salmon that’s good for your body, good for the planet, and packed with the kind of rich, natural flavor that only the wild can deliver.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your kitchen and your family meals. I hope every bite reminds you that you're enjoying something truly special.

Welcome to Dobro Seafood—where fresh, wild salmon meets family tradition.
